Superior Concrete Products to Manufacture “Big Block” Retaining Wall System

EULESS, TX – June 1, 2009 – Superior Concrete Products, Inc. today announced it is the newest licensee of the ReCon Wall Systems retaining wall product. This new product is a high performance system that has the look, size and durability of large natural stone and the long-term performance of a fully engineered structural wall.

ReCon Wall Systems, Inc., located in Minneapolis, MN, developed the system and is an industry leader in supplying aesthetically pleasing and structurally superior retaining wall solutions.

The retaining wall blocks come in various depths from 24” to 60” with a face of 5.33 sq. ft. (48 inches x 16 inches). The system uses a unique tongue-and-groove lock placement for safe and secure walls.

“We are excited about our relationship with ReCon Wall Systems, Inc. and feel this is a product that complements our screening, perimeter, and sound barrier wall products,” said Calvin Clarke, President of Superior Concrete. “This durable system allows for quicker wall construction and walls up to 17 feet in height can be built without reinforcing geogrid.”

Superior is manufacturing the system in its Cleburne, TX NPCA-certified factory for the state of Texas.
